Chameleone on Coke Studio Africa

Legendary Ugandan artiste Chameleone and Africa’s Best Group Sauti Sol impressed on Coke Studio Africa last weekend!

Paired with top Congolese artiste Fally Ipupa on Coke Studio Africa season 4, Sauti Sol first did a cover of Fally’s hit release Chaise Electrique. Speaking on their collabo with Fally, Sauti Sol member Chimano says, “Working with Fally Ipupa was a dream come true for us – we’ve always wanted to work with him since our younger days in our career, “ confirming that they will be shooting a music video and recording more songs with Fally Ipupa.” Sauti Sol have just returned to Kenya after the month-long Live and Die in Afrika tour that kicked off soon after winning an MTV Africa Music Award for Best Group (Africa).

Chameleone on the other hand was paired with Mozambican singer Neyma on his second time on Coke Studio Africa this year. The two collaborated with Ghanaian rising star Feli Nuna in a rendition of her song I Like Em. “I am open to collaborating with other artistes but I am very choosy when it comes to who I actually work with. If you follow keenly you will notice that there is something about all Chameleone collaborations,” Chameleone said about his collabo with Feli Nuna.

Another Ugandan artiste who made a mark on Coke Studio was the lovely Rema Namakula, who created a beautiful mash up of the songs: Spell Bound & Fire Tonight with Nigerian music icon 2Baba.
