It was a colourful Sunday as a multitude of city dwellers thronged Kampala streets for the fourth edition of the annual Kampala City festival. With several stages and lots of entertaining activities lined up for the day, revelers were spoilt for choice as they roamed the streets for the next interesting activity.
However, as the hours went on, people started converging and forming crowds at their stages of interest. One such was the Movit stage that pulled a huge crowd.
Movit, one of Uganda’s leading manufacturers of quality and affordable cosmetics, treated its consumers to a host of entertaining activities that included music and comedy acts. Revelers were also treated to freebies that included t-shirts and cosmetics from the Movit range of products.
With performances kicking off early in the afternoon, revelers were kept entertained with a plethora of artistes till mid night.
However, the outstanding acts of the day were Chameleoene and Uganda’s dynamic duo, Radio and Weasel, who fired up the mammoth crowd that had been eagerly waiting for their showcase.
Radio and Weasel stepped on stage much after 10pm amidst a roaring crowd. They went on to deliver an exhilarating performance, doing some of their hit songs including, “Neera”, “Obudde”, “Talk n Talk” among others.
Weasel later welcomed his elder Chameloene on stage, in as display of brotherhood, as the already ecstatic crowd went into a frenzy. Chameleone kicked off his performance with a lot of energy as he took his fans through his popular songs. He was later joined on stage by Movit staff who danced with the singer till the close of the show.
