Chameleone could soon be dragged to the courts of law over the death of a one Robert Karamagi who was terminally burnt at his home in December 2012.
It seems the ghosts of Karamagi are back to haunt Chameleone after the father of the deceased, Maj. Benedict Kyamanywa stormed the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP’s) office demanding why the murderers of his son were never brought to book.
According to reports, Maj. Benedict Kyamanywa has petitioned the DPP to investigate circumstances under which the case was closed by the police and if possible resurrect it for justice to be served.
Maj. Benedict Kyamanywa even claims to have new witnesses who are willing to testify in court against Chameleone and other perpetrators who had recorded statements pertaining to this matter.
The DPP, who claimed to have closed the case over incomplete evidence that could sustain the case in court, has reportedly decided to re-open the file following Maj. Benedict’s petition.
The file was registered at Katwe as KMP/E/01/2013.
