Centenary Bank has rewarded 15 winners of the bank’s school fees campaign from its Kampala branches with vouchers worth shs 2.25 million. Prizes worth shs 10 million will be handed over to winners throughout the country.
The Chief Manager Business Growth, Mr Michael Jjingo, said the one-month campaign was an act of solidarity with parents and schools in a bid to promote education across the country.
“Education is vital for the growth and development of our economy and country as a whole and it is therefore important that we, especially from the corporate world, provide assistance wherever and whenever we can. The school fees campaign is one of the bank’s initiatives to ease the financial burden on parents and guardians in acquiring and providing scholastic materials for their children,” he said.
Jjingo added that; “Centenary Bank understands the challenges parents face during the school fees season. Many of our bank staff are parents, so they identify with the challenges of taking children back to school.”

Speaking on behalf of the winners, Michael Koyola thanked the bank for its humility and support towards the education sector and urged other institutions to join in the cause for a better future for the school-going children.
During the school fees campaign, staff at all branches dressed up in school uniform to serve their customers.
