Celine Dion’s husband René Angélil is currently recovering after undergoing emergency surgery for throat cancer.
Angélil battled the disease 15 years ago, at the height of his wife’s international singing career.
Dion has been nursing her husband and manager since December 23, after he had a tumour removed, as she continues her Las Vegas residency.
She said in a statement to People: “I don’t want René to stress out with work-related issues.
“I want him to focus on getting back to 100%. I’ve been doing my shows at the Colosseum (in Las Vegas) and everything’s under control.
“At home we’ve been spending a lot of quality time with the family. We feel very fortunate that we’ve been able to get the best care possible and we thank God every day for helping us get through this ordeal.”
Dion recently released a collaboration with Ne-Yo called ‘Incredible’.
The 45-year-old Dion and 73-year-old Angélil have three children together.
