The Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) has today confirmed dates for the 2013 Senior Challenge Cup to take place in Nairobi, Kenya.
Nicholas Musonye, the Secretary General, confirmed to MTNFootball.com that they had met with the Kenya FA and decided the competition, which brings together national sides in the region, takes place November 24 to December 8.
He said the Kenya FA have also confirmed their readiness to host the event, which will have Malawi as the only guest side.
During the CECAFA congress held in Kampala, Uganda, last year Rwanda and Kenya were picked as potential hosts.

But the Rwanda FA opted to host next year’s event as a dress rehearsal for the 2016 CHAN competition.
The last time Kenya hosted the championship was in 2009 but attendances were depressingly low.
“We’re now trying to get a big sponsor for the event and hopefully we shall have one before the end of next month,” said Musonye.
Member countries that will take part include Tanzania, Zanzibar, Burundi, Eritrea, Somalia, Djibouti, Sudan, South Sudan, Burundi, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Kenya and defending champions Uganda.
