Capital FM presenter Lucky Mbabazi has always been keen on fitness and staying in shape. She has often exhibited this through her social media platforms where she shares her workout routines. What started as a passion for her is now set to benefit the masses. This after she launched an initiative to promote healthy lifestyles on Tuesday morning.
Dubbed “Lucky’s Groove Back”, it is a fitness program aimed at changing the mindset and attitudes of Ugandans towards exercising and gym work outs.
Speaking at the launch held at Startimes stadium, Lucky revealed that the initiative was borne out of the need to share knowledge with her fans on how to keep in shape.
“My fans on social media often asked me how I have managed to stay in shape even after having 4 kids, so I started sharing videos of my home workouts.” She explained. “But after a while I felt sharing videos was not enough hence ‘Lucky’s Groove Back'”.
Participants will be taken through sessions like Zumba, yoga and aerobics among others which will all be conducted by different experts like Zumba queen Gerry Opoka and Robert Ddamulira, a fitness instructor at Robbie Fitness.
Lucky’s Groove Back will be held quarterly with the debut edition slated for this Saturday, March 19 at the KCCA stadium. It will kick off at 4pm until 7pm.
