A year after Radio Mowzey’s death, his fans are not over the fact that he is no more. There still is a huge attachment from the fans and music lovers from theme nights, printing T-Shirts, dedicated music to remembered the fallen Soldier and now to a dedicated painting in memory if the late Radio Mowzey.
Canadian artist David Yergeau, better known as Monk-E recently painted and exhibited a raw painting of the late singer. David who was a friend to the late has found his unique way to use his talent and at the same time grieve his late friend. His drawing of Radio has since been put up for public viewing at DNA Lounge in Kololo where thousands of Radio’s fans todate take pictures from in memory of his great music. David has a collection of other drawings and paintings and has made a reputable name through his talent.
Who is MONK-E?
Monk-E is a French-Canadian born in the province of Quebec, Monk-e is a self-thought visionary urban artist, multilingual poet and globe-trotter. Rooted in the world of graffiti and contemporary urban art since 1996, he renamed his art form under the term Calligraffiti Alchimographic. Painting, exhibiting and publishing visual art and music all over the world allowed him to accumulate an encyclopedia of technics from various collaborators. For him teaching and inspiring divers demographies is a central mission in the production of art. The action of painting remains the perfect dialogue between the empty wall and himself, between the painted wall and the viewers, between the viewers and their society.
