Calein opens up about “Closed Eyes” and 2022 projects

Singer, rapper, songwriter, and Recording Artist at JMusic Records, Calein, real names Benjamin Saga, has opened up about his latest project, “Closed Eyes” alongside upcoming plans for the New year.

The singer who has several songs like “Nyola Nkata”, “Lwosula” and “Byonkola” done with Mwonge recently added to his collection an inspirational banger. The song is called “Closed Eyes” and he features fellow artiste Rulz.

“Closed Eyes” is about inspiring people through the singer’s own experiences. They sing about their past, daily hustles that also connect with the listeners, what the future holds, and love.

Written by Calein and Rulz, the song was produced by Ashriddim and mastered by Nigeria’s C-beats Masterpiece. You can take a listen to the song on all major streaming platforms like Spotify, Tidal and Apple Music.

The video to “Closed Eyes” was shot by Master Mind Laray and released at the end of November 2021. In the video, studio sessions, gym sessions that portray never giving up are shown. Calein and Rulz’s story in the video shows how they look at the world and how they are inspired to inspire others. You can watch the video here.

For the New year, after “Closed Eyes”, Calein who is also a second-year student at Makerere University Business School, plans on releasing more great music for his fans.

The Bachelors in International Business student has one new song coming out as soon as January 2022. The song is called “Vibe” and will be one that many will enjoy according to the artiste.

Calein is also working on an EP; “Writing my story” scheduled to be released in mid-2022.

Speaking about this, he said; “The EP is coming out next year around June. This is my real story, where I want the world to see what I envision through music”.
