CEO and businessman Katumwa David of Ben Kiwanuka street based Katumwa sports centre was detained at Katwe police station on a Thursday afternoon after being accused of defiling a p.7 girl whose names are with held.
The victim accused Katumwa for taking her to a lodge in Zzana where she was later defiled. The girl even led the police officers to Silda Guest house where Katumwa is alleged to have shamelessly slept with her after giving her a 20K note to make her keep quiet.
However, businessman Katumwa has denied all the charges put against him. He defends himself saying that parents of the minor are just after his money and tarnishing his name. Katumwa also admits that the girl used to play with his children at home therefore he knows her. David Katumwa, if found guility, will live the rest of his life in the coolers of Luzira Prison.
