Burna Boy set to become the first African to perform live at the GRAMMYs event

Burna Boy, the renowned and multi-talented African artist, is set to make history as the first African performer at the prestigious GRAMMY Awards.

This significant milestone marks a momentous achievement for Burna Boy, who has consistently showcased his musical prowess on the global stage.

His dazzling renditions and unique style have garnered international acclaim, and the announcement of his inclusion in the GRAMMY lineup is a testament to his impact on the world stage and African music reception.

The Recording Academy, responsible for organizing the GRAMMY Awards, unveiled Burna Boy as one of the performers for the upcoming event in a statement released on Monday morning.

The GRAMMYs, known for hosting some of the most iconic musical moments, will now witness Burna Boy’s electrifying presence on February 4th, 2024.

Having secured a Grammy Award in 2021, Burna Boy’s influence continues to grow with four nominations this year.

The nominated categories include Best Global Music Album for ‘I Told Them,’ Best African Music Performance for ‘City Boys,’ Best Global Music Performance for ‘Alone,’ and Best Melodic Rap Performance for ‘Sittin’ on Top of the World.’
