Nigerian musician, Damini Ogulu, better known on stage as Burna Boy, is disappointed that his exploits over the past year has not earned him even a single nomination at the 2015 MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA).

The musician, who claims he never gets what he deserves, is accusing the organisers of not being fair with the nominations for this year’s awards.

Burna Boy made his reservations known shortly after the nominees for the 2015 awards were announced at a star-studded reception at Harem, Johannesburg, South Africa Thursday.

He vented on Twitter that, “Really bummed @MTVbaseAfrica didn’t nominate me. I knew I wasn’t gunna win SHXT cuz I never get wat I deserve but damn this is quite deep.”

This year, two of Nigeria’s biggest acts, Davido and Wizkid will battle AKA from South Africa, Diamond from Tanzania, and Ghana’s Sarkodie for the ‘Best Male’ award.

The year’s awards ceremony, which will be used to honour late South African president, Nelson Mandela, will be  held on Saturday, July 18,2015 at the Durban International Convention Centre (ICC), KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
