Bukedde TV presenter, Katongole Omutongole, who was suspended from his job for breaching the moral code of conduct following his defilement scandal has given up on his political aspirations.
The programme director and comedian, who was recently named in a defilement scandal told us that he has given up on standing for a parliamentary seat because his name has been dragged in the mad and this could take a lot of time for him to clean up.
Katongole, who stood against MP Suleiman, the Baale Municipality MP in the previous elections will not come back. According to his pal, he needs more time to heal and he won’t take part in elections next year.
According to Katongole, he was tricked by the allegedly defiled girl’s brother who called the police on him as he attempted to negotiate matters with him. The girl who is a student of Namilyango S.S had gone to visit her brother only to meet Katongole who is a neighbor. The story goes on to say that Katongole purportedly took her to a lodge in Kalerwe where he allegedly defiled her before giving her a paltry 20,000shs as transport.

Police granted him bond as investigations are still ongoing. The girl has also been checked by medical personnel to determine the extent of the alleged damage to her privates.
