The tough talking, youthful, Buganda kingdom prime minister, does not mince his words when it comes to matters of Buganda kingdom. The prime minister’s latest victim of attack is the self-proclaimed ”Mubanda W’Kabaka”, Ghetto president―Bobi Wine. The prime minister is said to have summoned Bobi to drop the ”Mubanda Wa Kabaka” moniker saying the Kabaka does not have babanda!
Mubanda loosely translates to thug, robber, gang leader or silent criminal in ghetto speak thus ”Mubanda wa Kabaka” would translate to, ”the King’s thug!”.
One Muganda elder in Kireka offers insight into genesis of the moniker ”Musajja wa Kabaka” is a term referring to non-Baganada allies of the Kabaka, friends of Buganda. The name was given to those who helped the kingdom”, he explained.
”Mubanda Wa Kabaka” does not exist and it is treasonous of a Muganda to make such claims”. he agreed with his Prime minister.
