Broke Sipapa fails to pay rent, arrested for beating journalist

Embattled business man Charles Alim aka Sipapa is in hot soup after police raided his place and arrested him on double charges. Sipapa is alleged to have defaulted his rent arrears of about three months. It is reported that Sipapa who was being evicted also beat up a journalist who was on scene recording.

The now broke Sipapa is currently detained at Kira Police Station over assaulting a one Alex Bongole, a Spark TV Journalist who was taking pictures of him when he (Sipapa) was being evacuated from his house. Even though this is still a developing story, this is not the first time Sipapa has been arrested as a few months ago on 8th May he was charged with violating traffic rules after getting arrested along Kampala road.

On July 19, Sipapa was once again arrested for being a public nuisance and inconsiderate use of a motor vehicle at Kisekka Market in Kampala, following distress calls from business owners in the area.
