With the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) on a mid-season break until February when it is set to return for the second round, all top flight clubs will be looking for some action to keep their players in shape.
To fulfill that, Kawempe based side Bright Stars have booked a friendly with Soana FC. The match is slated for Friday, 15th January at Mengo playground.
With both sides missing some of their key players, it will be time for the substitutes to showcase their abilities.
Bright Stars will be without number custodian Mathias Kigonya, defender Joseph Nsubuga and Benard Muwanga plus first team coach Fred Kajoba who doubles as the national team goalkeeping coach while Soana will be missing striker Fancis Olaki.
All the absentees are currently in camp at the FUFA technical center in Njeru, Jinja with the national team, the Cranes ahead of the CHAN tournament in Rwanda this month.
Both sides sealed off the first round of AUPL with 21 points but a better goal difference places Bright Stars in 8th place above Soana on the league table.
