Kawempe based side, Bright Stars returned to their winning ways yesterday as they thrashed maimed Rwenshama 3-1 at the Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo. Bright Stars had earlier lost to defending champions, KCCA, who put an end to their unbeaten run last week on Friday.
With five minutes to recess Allan Male scored to give the hosts the lead. Anthony Bongole and Hassan Kikoyo were the other two on the score board for Bright Stars to give Paul Kiwanuka, the interim coach more confidence as he walked away with his third win of the season.
Katende Mike scored the consolation goal for the visitors. Rwenshama, under the charges of Shafik Bisaso, are yet to win a single game since moving to the top flight and remain 15th on the 16-team log with 2points from six games. Bright Stars climbed to 5th position with a tally of 12points from seven games.
Elsewhere, Sadolin FC drew 1-1 with Kiira Young in Bugembe. Martin Mugabi and Julius Ntambi scored for the home team and the visitors respectively.
In Bombo, Express F.C edged home side Simba F.C with a 2-1 win. Witaba Alex scored for the home side, Simba while Kavuma Willy and Semazzi John made it to the score sheet for Express F.C.
SC Villa, Vipers and Express are the top three and are all tied on 13points but separated by goal difference while Police are fourth with 12points.
