In the latest shocking news from Kyambogo, an NRM student, Sekajja Moses has been detained for allegedly stabbing another with a knife during a scuffle.
Sekajja who is a student of Economics and Statistics has been behind the violence that has marred the NRM camp and the guild campaigns in general.
According to eye witnesses, this wasn’t the first time Sekajja had attempted to take someone’s life, he’d been trying his luck all along.
“During the guild presidential debates in North Hall, he strangled a band player from the FDC camp and gorged another with a stick. Yesterday was the climax. He was clearly drunk and intoxicated with weed perhaps. When the FDC and NRM supporters clashed near Trinity Hostel and Wamala Hostel junction, Sekajja took it upon himself to stab another student with a dagger,” narrates an eye witness.
“It was around 11pm in the night. NRM later headed to St. Mary’s Hostel. The stabbed student was rushed to Naguru Hospital before being transferred to Nsambya hospital. The wounds are very severe and it’s an issue of life and death,” the eye witness futher narrates.
BigEye.ug has also learned that another student from FDC camp, Mugabi Gilbert was arrested yesterday at around mid-day and taken to Jinja Road Police Station.
This happens to be the most competitive election in the history of Kyambogo University with the possibility of the vote going either side.
At BigEye.ug, we strongly condemn acts of violence among University students.
