One of Nigeria’s leading comedians Bovi Ugboma will be in town this week to perform at Africa Laughs comedy show slated for Friday. He will be performing alongside Salvado Idrigi among other comedians at Serena Hotel Kampala.
According to the organizers of Africa Laughs Bovi will be flying in on either Wednesday or Thursday.
“Bovi has very many friends and relatives here, he wants to visit them. So, he will come a day or two to the show. He also wants to tour Kampala and also some parts of Uganda that is why he is coming early,” said one of the members of the organizing committee.
The Africa Laughs show which is sponsored by Mirinda, will host a star-studded cast that includes Bovi from Nigeria, Eddie Kadi from Congo, Ndumiso Lindi from South Africa, Carl Joshua Ncube from Zimbabwe, Eric Omondi from Kenya and Arthur Nkusi from Rwanda.
The show will also be blessed by local comedians, Anne Kansiime, Alex Muhangi, Mad Rat and Chico, Teacher Mpamire, Napoleone, Ronnie Mcvex with Idringi.
According to the host Salvado, the show will have a surprise act. “When you are cooking, you don’t tell your guest what you are preparing for them, but all I can say for now, we have a very talented guest and our funs will laugh louder than before,” said Salvado.
According to the organizing committee of the event, Myko Ouma and Janzi band will provide musical interludes during the show.
