Musician turned MP, Bobi Wine remains resolute in his struggle to defend the constitution.
The singer who was involved in a brawl during a plenary session on Wednesday has revealed that his whole body aches but the heart remains solid as a rock.
He made the remarks while responding to criticism for his part in the parliamentary saga. “My muscles ache, my joints feel dislocated, the pain in my neck from the strangling is unbearable, my head hurts so bad ,my whole body is in terrible pain but my heart is as SOLID AS A ROCK.” He stated.
“We shall not be spectators while our country is being killed, plundered and destroyed. We owe it to the present people of Uganda and the generations to come.” He added.
Bobi Wine alongside other opposition MPs staged a spirited fight against the tabling of the controversial Age Limit bill which escalated into chaos in Parliament on Wednesday afternoon.
However, they were soon overpowered and thrown out of Parliament by security personnel who were sanctioned by the Speaker of Parliament Hon. Rebecca Kadaga to take control of the situation and restore calm in the August House.
Bobi Wine has since been suspended along with 24 other legislators for apparently orchestrating the chaos in Parliament. They will miss three parliamentary sittings.
