James Churchill Sentamu, a nephew to singer-turned-politician Bobi Wine, has revealed his plans to run for Member of Parliament in the upcoming 2026 general elections.

While appearing on The Deep Talk show hosted by Mr. Henrie on Galaxy TV, Sentamu confidently shared his political ambitions.
“I don’t think Parliament is too big a place for me,” he said, expressing belief in his leadership abilities and readiness to serve the nation.

Churchill is the son of Chairman Nyanzi, Bobi Wine’s elder brother, and currently serves as the Guild President of Makerere University.
His position at one of Uganda’s top institutions has earned him popularity among youth and student leaders.
His announcement comes as no surprise to many who have followed his growing interest in leadership and activism, inspired by his uncle Bobi Wine, the leader of the National Unity Platform (NUP).
As the 2026 elections draw closer, Sentamu joins a list of young aspirants hoping to bring change to Uganda’s political space.
