Following his anti-gay sentiments, Ghetto Gladiator, Bobi Wine was banned from travelling from some of the western countries. This led to a long dry spell of brokenness as he couldn’t do international shows and had to stick to only Ugandan ones.

In order to regain the favour of western powers and start earning bread in dollars, Bobi has now forged a relationship with Americans which he will soon extend to the British. This week, he met the US Embassy officials to discuss matters affecting Ugandan youth.

This was seen as a huge step in the right direction for the youth who are jobless and languishing in poverty but also for Bobi who is in dire need for a green light from Western powers. To further cement his relationship with the Americans, he invited the US embassy Cultural officer Lisa Larson for breakfast at his home today.

“Bright mornings come with simple things like a good breakfast with a happy visitor. Lisa Larson the US embassy Cultural officer who also loves ‘Kabalagala’ came by. We may chat about so much but at the heart of our conversation you’ll find the everyday woman and the Ugandan girl child featuring,” his wife Barbie said after the breakfast meeting. We hope the “Dembe” singer gets what he is looking for.

We will keep you posted.
