Bobi Wine could soon stop singing in Luganda. With the boisterous local music industry, to survive, one must be able to flow with the tide. It’s in this regard that Bobi Wine recently revealed that he would soon be releasing songs in mostly Kiswahili.
He kicked off the project with his single “Paradiso”, a dedication to his late father Mr. Ssentamu. He later did a follow up titled “Nakumiss”.
Bobi Wine had earlier announced at a press conference that the sudden switch to Kiswahili had been triggered by his late dad. Bobi said that his father had always wanted him to sing in Swahili just like his competition. Following his death, he decided to heed to the advice to make his dad’s wish come true.
We now wait to see how long Bobi will carry on with singing in Kiswahili.
