Local musician Bobi Wine has today morning celebrated the release of FDC’s strong man Kizza Besigye at High court where he was granted bail by Judge Masalu Musene.
After the court sessions, the self-proclaimed Ghetto president escorted Besigye to his home in Kasangati from where he made a statement about his release and here’s what he said; “I am here to express my solidarity and thank God Almighty for freeing Besigye. I’m here not as a musician or politician. I’m standing for what’s right”.
Bobi was accompanied by fellow musician Ronald Mayinja who also revealed that he had come to celebrate with Besigye supporters in Kasangati.
This comes a few days after Bobi announced his intention to contest as a Member of Parliament for Kyadondo East seat that was recently declared vacant by the High court judge after kicking out FDC’s Apollo Katinti over non-compliance with election rules during the February 18th parliamentary elections.
