This might shock you. The ghetto president Bobi Wine who is slated to launch his Akalimu album next month has rushed to Zambia’s Mampi of the Swilili fame to rescue his upcoming concert.
This comes as a surprise because the self proclaimed ghetto gladiator has never had to worry about crowds flocking his concert as he has always pulled the biggest crowds for a concert by a local artiste. His popularity has never been brought into question as his music has always been popular and his personality has had done something of a favour to invite mammoth crowds to concert venues.
But it has been learned that Bobi Wine who had put up his concert for sale at a whooping 60m was sidelined by music promoters who have said that there was no way Bobi Wine and his new buddy Mr.G would bring a sellout crowd. This is a slap in the face to the singer.
The promoters have gone on to give him an ultimatum of adding another top musician to the cast that will be performing at the concert or risk organizing it himself. Knowing the hustles that come with organizing a concert, he has quickly sought out Mampi with whom they collaborated to help him save face.
We wish him the best with this new move.
