Musician Bobi Wine has today hosted US Ambassador Deborah Malac and Henhouse Prowlers, the American blue grass band that redid Eddy Kenzo’s Sitya loss hit, at his Bobi Wine Foundation in Kamwokya.
Bobi who was excited about the visit, went ahead and posted the pictures of him and the team on social media and captioned them; “Today we welcomed the #Kamwokya community and honored guests from the US Embassy, the Henhouse Prowlers (bluegrass band that sing Sitya Loss), the Ugandan Church / Nkozi Hospital and the Ugandan Youth Ministry to our #GhettoYouthCentre.
We wanted to show Ugandans that #GhettoYouth are not idle criminals. They are capable of developing themselves! Ghetto youth have been sharing knowledge and skills in music, art, crafts, boxing, mechanics, and so many others, and we will continue! Please pass by our #YouthniversityOfOverstanding on Old Kira Rd. and join our efforts at the #BobiWineFoundation.”
The band jetted into the country yesterday to headline the US Independence Day celebrations at the US Embassy in Kampala. The celebrations were supposed to be held on July 4, but the US envoy to Uganda, Deborah Malac, was forced to extend them to July 12 to accommodate Chicago’s Henhouse Prowlers band.
