Just a few days after the official launch of Face TV, the first local music channel that plays only Ugandan music videos every day, musician Bobi Wine has come out to endorse the TV channel showing his gratitude towards this development.
The Paradiso singer says that this is a great achievement to the entire music industry since it will help in promoting both talent and Ugandan music. “At some point it was a miraculous occurrence for a Ugandan artist to see their video get played on TV and now we have a channel that shows only Ugandan Music…Big up Face TV,” Bobi said.
It should be noted that many artistes have been complaining that their music was not played on the local channels that have been available, apart from a few artistes like Navio, Bebe Cool, Eddy Kenzo, Radio and Weasel who could afford to produce quality videos that can compete on international music channels such as Trace Urban and MTV Base.
