Star singer Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has denied any links to him being part of the land row in Kamwokya. On Tuesday this week an elderly lady Zubeda was invaded by goons who broke down her home and threatened to finish her life if she doesn’t vacate her land. Later that day reports emerged that pinned Chairman Nyanzi Fred who is also Bobi Wine’s brother to have hired the goons claiming he had bought the land.
“Lino fujo lya Chairman Nyanzi ne muganda we Bobi Wine, bwebatyo bwebanyaga abantu ebintu byabwe” literally translated as “This is hooliganism from Chairman Nyanzi and his brother Bobi Wine, this is how they unlawfully obtain property from their rightful owners,” remarked one of the onlookers.
However singer Bobi Wine has come out and cleared the air about this issue saying he only owns a plot where he constructed his Semakokiro Plaza and doesn’t own not even a plot on the land where Zubeda was evicted but did not comment on whether Nyanzi was involved in the land row.
Kampala Metropolitan boss Andrew Felix Kaweesa has since ordered for Nyanzi’s arrest though he has not been seen since then.
