Musician, politician and presidential hopeful, Bobi Wine, real names Robert Kyagulanyi, has recognized and celebrated incarcerated human rights fighter Stella Nyanzi.

In a women’s day message celebrating Ugandan women, Bobi recognised and celebrated Stella for her struggle standing up to despotism.

According to Bobi, Stella, who at one time staged a nude protest at Makerere to protect her job is at the forefront of the struggle for Uganda’s liberation.

In a tweet, Bobi said;

In a special way, I celebrate the women who have gotten onto the forefront in the struggle for the liberation of Uganda. In particular, we celebrate & stand with Dr. Stella Nyanzi who continues to face untold trials & tribulations for daring to stand up to the despot.

Last night Bobi was on TV highlighting his struggle and plans for Uganda once he becomes President of Uganda.

Although many have joked on Social Media that during his interview he lacked detail and clear plans on how to take Uganda to the next level, some have sided with him as the right person to take Uganda to the promised land.

We will keep you posted.
