Singer and politician Bobi Wine real name Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has yet again attacked fellow singer Eddy Kenzo’s led Federation.

Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) which was formed mid this year was unveiled to Ugandans and Eddy Kenzo was appointed as the acting president because he was part of its formation and was given three deputies Sheebah Karungi, Pallaso and Juliana Kanyomozi but later Juliana had to quit citing personal responsibilities that couldn’t enable her do the Federation duties.

Since the Federation’s establishment, several critics especially from those leaning to the opposition party, National Unity Platform [NUP] and media analysts have alleged that UNMF is targeting money from government something Eddy Kenzo has denied on numerous occasions citing that their motive and purpose is to improve the music Industry.

Eddy Kenzo has been emphasizing that their focus is on the amendment of the Copyright Law and making sure musicians earn from their work like the way it is in other countries.

While addressing the media at their party headquarters, NUP’s President cum musician, Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has yet again attacked these musicians over the alleged input of Ugx 30 billion [but the Ministry of Finance and Planning requested for a supplementary budget of Ugx 13bn] from government into the Musicians Federation to help on their activities to streamline the music industry and clear utilities at their offices at Allure Suites in Mutundwe.

Musicians are set to receive Ugx 30bn from the supplementary budget, an amount equivalent to the construction of a hospital comparable to the level of Kiruddu Hospital. Fellow Musicians are going to eat an entire hospital

Recently, Uganda Musicians Association [UMA] President Cindy Sanyu also came out and urged for inclusivity in this package distribution and requested long term solutions for the music industry instead of incentives which only solve short term personal needs.
