Freshly Ground 1

We can comfortably reveal that the Blankets & Wine festival is going to be one of a kind after organisers announced that Freshly Ground, a South African leading music group will grace the event.

Freshly ground is an Afro Fusion band which has worked on a number of music projects and has made a mark worldwide. The group teamed up with Shakira among other artistes to produce the official 2010 world Cup hit theme song Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) when the world cup football tournament was hosted for the first time in Africa.

Freshly Ground’s musical style blends basics of traditional South African music, blues, jazz, and features of indie rock. The group members come from South Africa, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe and they will perform their major hits like Doo Bee Doo and Potbelly among others.

Blankets & Wine festival will be at the usual venue, Uganda Museum Gardens on Sunday 14th December 2014.
