On Friday, Daily Monitor’s Sqoop Magazine published a two page story about Peter Mabonga’s journey to tattoo business. In a rather interesting turn of events, it has been discovered that Peter Mabonga is not the owner of the said tattoo parlor which is Black Ink Tattoos Ug.

Black Ink’s proprietor who is Olive Telma has come out to stress to the public that even though she might have worked with Peter, he has NEVER owned anything in the parlor. “I met Peter when he was with Kla Ink and I have worked with him for one month. He once managed our social media platforms. But other than that, he is not the owner of the parlor.” Said Telma.

The tattoo parlor was formed after a break up from another tattoo parlor which was Kla Ink, where Sizzy, the current tattooist at Black Ink used to work. Telma partnered with James Mathenge Githaiga a.k.a Sizzy to start up Black Ink Tattoos Ug in August 2015. Telma insists that although Peter had told her about the interview with Sqoop Magazine, she was never part of the interview and that she never got to talk to the people at Sqoop Magazine.

When Telma saw the story after calls from her friends, she says that she was in shock and proceeded to make a statement on Black Ink’s social media sites. She further moved on to change all the parlor’s social media passwords that she had shared with Peter Mabonga. She says that when she talked to Peter about the story, he insisted that what had been published is not what he had agreed with the writer of the story even though the story says otherwise.

Black Ink Tattoos Ug is located at Equatorial Mall, Level 3, Shop 334 and they major in; tattoos, body piercings, tattoo removals, tattoo classes and tattoo supplies.
