Big Brother Naija Season 5 Kicks-off

The top anticipated number one television reality show, Big Brother Naija Season 5 has begun and fans can’t keep calm as they stay glued to their television sets across the continent.

This year’s show is dubbed ‘Big Brother Naija Lockdown’ with 20 carefully selected housemates who will be housed for 10 weeks.

The house is fully furnished with all items needed by the housemates.

For the first time since the inception of the show, the head of the house will have his/her own separate lounge, bathroom, hall and a magnificent bedroom as well as the ability to choose who his/her deputy will be.

The icing on the cake is the all new fully furnished hair salon in the house.

The show will be hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the former housemate of the show back from 2006.

Big Brother Naija season 5 will be different because of the coronavirus pandemic which they still worry about the control.

But the organizers, Multichoice say they have developed a Covid-19 action plan to make sure everybody is safe.

How Big Brother Naija season 5 will be?

The new housemates when they enter the house, they will observe no social distancing.

This is because every member has under gone a through medical test including Covid-19.

During the 10 weeks staying in the house, Big Brother will assign housemates tasks to involve in team play that Big Brother knows and the housemates have to find out.

Some of the general rules for the house say that the housemates will not get in any contact with the outside world, no violence and must nominate their fellow housemate for eviction.

Shower hour will not be brought back this season according to the organizers.

No guest will be allowed inside the BBNaija house or come in contact with housemates.

They will also reduce the number of ninjas too and cancel all audience for the live eviction show.

Ebuka will host the Sunday live eviction show in an empty studio and the live feed will be crossed inside the entire Big Brother house.

How to watch the show;

The live show premiered at 2:00PM EAT on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 29 with a simulcast-on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv channel 151), Africa Magic Urban (DStv channel 153) and Africa Magic Family (DStv channel 154 & GOtv channel 2).

If you still haven’t, avoid FOMO and reconnect to today via DStv or GOtv Max or Jolli.

The 24-hour feed will be available on channel 198 on DStv and channel 29 on GOtv.

The MyGOtv and MyDStv apps are available on Google Play and the App Store for more self-service options such as reconnecting and upgrading your package.

Not being in the comfort of your home in front of your big screen does not have to stop you from watching the show.

The DStv Now app allows you to watch on your phone, tablet or laptop, anywhere you are.
