BIC, a world leader in stationery, lighters, and shavers, in partnership with Uganda’s leading distributor of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods and BIC’s exclusive distributor, African Queen, held a customer trade dinner at the Serena Hotel, Victoria Mall – in a bid to offer a platform for the traders to interact, engage and support them in a season that BIC knows that their trade partners “need all the support they can get”.
The event, which has been a tradition since 2016, aims to recognize and appreciate customers who have continued to support the BIC brand through partnership, ambassadorship, and loyalty.
The event has continuously received positive feedback and has touched more than 1,000 customers to date.
This year’s event saw the attendance of 120 wholesalers from across the country and 45 partners from African Queen commenting on the occasion, Francois-Lede Xavier, Sales Director at BIC East Africa, said: “We are delighted to have these events back and commemorate our partnership with African Queen and our customers and partners. This event is a testament to our commitment and proximity to our stakeholders in Uganda and beyond.”
Expressing her delight, the CEO of African Queen Ms Sophy Nantongo said: “It gives me so much pleasure to see how much we have grown with our partners over the years. These events give us an opportunity to appreciate our customers and understand their needs so as to serve them better”.
The traders gained from incentives from BIC that are meant to see them benefit more in this season.
Attendees conversed and shared knowledge, insight, and experience about the trade and how to thrive again – in such a seasons with the after effects of the pandemic.
