Renowned Ugandan artist Bebe Cool has expressed profound grief following the death of his dog, Zazu.
In a heartfelt video shared on his social media platforms on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, the singer revealed that he received the tragic news from his veterinary officer.
Bebe Cool disclosed that Zazu’s passing prompted him to request a postmortem examination, which uncovered trauma on the right lung.
This finding has led to suspicions that the dog may have been beaten while under the care of trainers where it had been taken for training.
“I am deeply hurt and disappointed,” Bebe Cool said, condemning the alleged mistreatment of his beloved pet.
He emphasized his determination to investigate the matter fully upon his return to Uganda from South Africa, where he is currently based.
The singer’s public statement has drawn sympathy from fans and animal lovers alike, with many expressing solidarity and urging him to seek justice for Zazu.
