Local musician Bebe Cool has jetted off to South Africa ahead of the MTV Africa Music Awards(MAMA). The “Kabulengane” hitmaker set off on Wednesday evening and will grace the prestigious award ceremony happening this weekend.
Bebe Cool will represent Uganda at this year’s MTV MAMAs alongside Eddy Kenzo and Sheebah Karungi. Bebe Cool is nominated in the Listeners Choice Award category while Eddy Kenzo is vying for the Best Live Act award and Sheebah is nominated in the Video of the Year category.
The MTV Africa Music Awards, now in their 6th edition, recognise and reward musicians and achievers who have made the most impact on African music and youth culture over the previous year. This year’s winners will be awarded on Saturday, 22nd October in Johannesburg, South Africa.
