Last week, Bebe Cool surprised his wife Zuena with a new car. The Mercedes Benz was given to Zuena as a Valentine’s Day gift. However, no one saw the car, only a photo of the car keys was posted on his Facebook page sparking off a discussion that this could be another stunt.
The singer didn’t take the feedback lightly, he reverted to fans who were questioning the fact that he gave his wife a Valentine’s present of a car. He said that the car was a personal gift which he only presented to Zuena. It is not like a music video which he has to present to the whole world.
“It’s a personal present, not a music video. It’s hers to enjoy and consume alone anyway she wants, why would I then publicise it? That would be directly giving tabloid reporters a chance to disturb her privacy,” he noted.
The singer has been in a giving mood lately. From the time he won 6 awards at the HMAs that took place at Wonder World Kansanga on the night of Feb 7th, the singer has been dishing out gifts to those close to him. He threw a graduation party for some of his fans who had finished their university studies where he spent millions. He gave his most active fan an iPad, bought a new iPad for his son and a car for his most active fan on Facebook.
His wife was the best winner of them all, as she walked away with a brand new Mercedes car. Or did she?
