Prominent Ugandan singer Bebe Cool has refused to settle out of court with comedian and businessman Alex Muhangi over a copyright infringement case filed last month.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, during a briefing on the court proceedings, Muhangi’s legal counsel confirmed that Bebe Cool had rejected multiple attempts for negotiations. These approaches had been recommended by the court as part of an effort to resolve the matter amicably.
Following this development, the court has now ordered Bebe Cool and his legal team to investigate the content published on Alex Muhangi’s Comedy Store UG media platforms.
The investigation will focus on allegations of illegal access and usage of copyrighted material.
The findings must be presented before the court by April 10, 2025.
The case continues to attract public attention as both parties prepare for the next stage of legal proceedings.
