Former Miss Uganda Dorah Mwima, the home schooled beauty from Tororo has proven beyond doubt that she is beauty with purpose.
After shaving off her hair on 26th June in support for cancer patients, the miss Uganda 2008 winner has called upon celebrities to go bald and gone ahead to organize a football match between local celebrities and their fans in a move to raise funds for Uganda Cancer Institute – children’s ward.
She insists that this is not a public stunt but an inspiration she drew from Australian model Stefania Ferrario who used her popularity to bring change to the needy.
She also claims to have lost 2 relatives and a best friend to cancer. After the tragedy, she resigned from SCD(U) ltd DARLING, where she has been working for the last five years and dedicated herself to charity work under her Dorah Mwima foundation.
The football match will be held on 24th August. Radio City’s MacKenzie has joined the campaign by going bald. We hope to see more celebrities and the general public joining this goodwill cause.
We applaud you,Dorah!
