This will surprise you. You are going to ask yourself questions like how, when did these two meet. Well they did. Chameleone has always been picky with the people he works with and normally magic is produced. This collaboration was a risky venture considering both artistes contrast in the styles of music they do.
Mun* G is a cheeky rapper who has made his name making a mockery of people and clowning in his lines. Chameleone on the other hand is a more versatile artiste with the knack of doing an afrobeat song one moment and then putting his husky vocals on a dancehall beat the next. He does this to perfection. So how did these two fair? Did it pass? So do we have a club anthem on our hands?
The song mainly centers on not giving up and no other than Chameleone can testify to not giving up.The Leone Island Boss has been written off so many times only for him to make a comeback so this is another statement.Chameleone jumps on the hook belting out his signature raspy vocals in Kiswahili and English. He gives a commanding chorus and the beat is heart stopping.Mun G assists on the Chorus.
Chameleone seems comfortable but the luga flow rapper seems to hold back but trust the Baboon Forest to come up with some rib cracking lines like. He borrows lines from Drake’s Started From the Bottom and Kendrick Lamar’s Don’t Kill My Vibe and he still delivers.
In general, this song will get people’s attention and to the party goers this is a party starter and it will find its way on many DJ playlists. The production is on point, the arrangement is well thought. For Chameleone, this is another good song; not his best whereas for Mun G this is a song to keep him relevant and on everyone’s lips though he should have done better for himself. RATING:3.5/5
