How does it feel? It doesn’t feel like music in ears, it is ugly and glum. For once, it feels like a family that has lost a loved one. The social media streets are quiet like a path through the graveyard. The timelines are heavy with sharp silence. And, it seems, this is the last nail in the coffin of Be My Date.
A lot has been said of this show. A lot has been said about Anita Fabiola, its former presenter. But now? NTV decided to erase off the show hated and loved by many. Ugandans are enraged for Anita’s dismissal, so are social media choir masters who talked ill of the crappy show.
There had been speculation of a possible replacement; a bummy figure of a girl had emerged and people had gripped their crotches, waiting for Sunday. And, here, NTV, unappologetically breaks Ugandans’ hearts. Was it about time? Perhaps.
