Sheraton Kampala Hotel is the official hotel that will be hosting the Barcelona legends team who will be playing against the Uganda Cranes Select team on 12th December at Namboole Stadium. Sheraton has offered accommodation and other essential services worth 120,000,000 ugx.
At a press conference held at Sheraton hotel today, Sheraton Kampala Hotel General Manager Ian Duncan announced that the Barcelona Legends will be staying at Sheraton Hotel for the entire period they will be in the Country and this will be worth 120,000,000.The cost will cover part of the accommodation and other hotel services for the Barcelona legends team while they stay around.
“We are very privileged to be the hotel hosting the Barcelona legends team that will be jetting in very soon to play against the Uganda Cranes Select team. This is not only a historical moment for Sheraton Hotel but the entire Uganda. Sheraton is fully in support of initiatives that celebrate Ugandan Heritage and boost the Tourism of Uganda and such are some of the initiatives that Sheraton has participated in. Just more to this, Sheraton was honored to be the only hotel in Uganda to host the Cardinals from The Vatican on Pope’s Francis’ entourage that came on the historical visit from 27th and 29th November 2015, we really pride ourselves in such moments as Sheraton and we won’t water down the visit of the Barcelona Legends who are arriving on 10th December 2015.” Said Ian Duncan
The Barcelona Legends will be playing against the Uganda Cranes Select team and the money collected from the tickets will be used to set up a Soccer academy and this will be to scout, train and nature young talent in soccer and also link them to European football clubs to explore their soccer talent by the help of Rayco Garcia and other Barcelona legends.
