In commemoration of ” menstrual hygiene day earlier today, she shared photos on her social media wearing red- a symbol of blood with a caption that read, ” I wore my red on this Menstrual hygiene day to create awareness about the increasing number of girls who are abandoning their primary and secondary school studies because they lack sanitary pads…” Being a proud advocate for girls and women, it does not come by surprise that she honored the mental hygiene day which is also to empower women and girls.

Through the Organization Caring Hearts Uganda, Mrs. Kyagulanyi is always indulging in activities that benefit the youth and communities through participating in activities like construction of latrines and boreholes.

Miss Uganda Oliver Nakakande also had a message for her followers. She shared a photo holding a placard with word, “powerful women talk about periods” and  went ahead to post an insightful video on her YouTube channel answering all  questions you may have about periods.

This day is a reassurance to women all around the world that menstruation is not a sin and that no woman should be left behind because of periods. Happy menstruation day to all women. Thank you Barbie Kyagulanyi for always looking out for the girl child.
