Barbie Kyagulanyi, wife to renowned musician Bobi Wine is well known as a creative and innovative woman who founded Caring Hearts Uganda (CHU) two years back. The non-governmental organization embarked on a campaign to provide vital information on the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse among the youth. The campaign was taken to schools, however it was unsuccessful since many criticized it for the fact that her husband did not take part in it and yet he is known as one of the drug abusers.
News reaching us indicate that Barbie has now embarked on yet another health campaign to help the youth live better especially young girls in school. Barbie has revealed that they are going to be giving appropriate menstrual management education to school-going adolescent girls residing in rural areas adding that most of these girls are faced with challenges of absenteeism from school during menstruation period, which leads to under performance.
Barbie also confirmed that her hubby Bobi Wine will this time take part in this campaign that will be launched at Cornerstone secondary school on 5th December in Kiboga district.
