Local musician Bakri Mat who has been off the local music charts for a couple of months has bounced back with a new song titled, “Oli Mulungi”.
Oli Mulungi is Bakri’s first all-Luganda song. And will undoubtedly win him a flock of new fans.
In the new song, he pours his heart out and reveals his love for a girl. He asks the girl to dish him love in full measure rather than in small bits.
Bakri has released a queue of love songs before such as Togana, 18 & Over among others. But this time he makes an extra effort to sing in Luganda, entirely. Although the video is still in the making, we are already dancing to the new audio. We can only anticipate for a classic video.
In related news, Bakri recently signed a new management deal with music enthusiasts, Jamaine Promotions. They entered a partnership with, DJ Shiru, who has been Bakri’s manager since early last year. They’ll still work under the label, Music permit.
