Bakri Mat is well known as a singer and song writer who rose to fame following the success of his hit song 18 and over that attracted lots of air play on most local radio stations. He later did a collabo with Radio and Weasel before he joined Team No Sleep where he seems to have lost his sense of direction, ending up in a solo career again.
According to our sources, Bakri stormed Vision Group’s Urban Television and XFM premises accusing the presenters of not playing his music, but the singer was instead ordered to match out leaving the place in tears. He was, however, advised to go to Bukedde TV because its where his kind of his music can be played.
Mary Luswata who was at the station at the time commented about the incident on her Scoop on Scoop show.
She said: “I was surprised to see Bakri here complaining that his music is not played on this station yet he has no single hit song and for real when did you last hear of Bakri song on XFM or Watch a video of his song on Urban Tv, he should know where he falls otherwise I advise him to settle and do good music which everyone would love to hear or else will end up in Team No Where since he has already quit Team No Sleep”.
