By BigEyeUg Team; Kampala City top socialite Shanitah Namuyimbwa aka Bad black has threatened to sue the Ministry of Health-Uganda plus the fountain of honour for not paying her UGX500 million after recording a paid advert for sensitizing Ugandans especially sex workers about the dangers of COVID-19 pandemic.

Apparently, on the 29th day of April 2020, Bad Black was approached a one Mr. Kisembo Ronex Tembo of Precision Media acting as an agent of Ministry of Health asking her to record a paid advert sensitizing the public about the dangers of COVID-19 and encourage the ladies especially those resident in areas near the country borders to avoid indulging with truck drivers whom the government had found to be the most infected group with the pandemic.

Bad Black was informed that the advert would be used by the government of Uganda to sensitize the masses, and that she would be paid consequently which she convincingly agreed to and went ahead to record the said advert.

The oral agreement that made with Bad Black was that a meeting would be arranged between her and H.E YK Museveni, the President of the Republic of Uganda with whom she would discuss the amounts for the advert and payment, a deal which she agreed.

Unfortuantely, the advert has since been used by the government in the fight against COVID-19 on all government social media platforms, llikely on all media stations in Uganda as an advert sponsored by the Ministry of Health, with support from Precison Media, UNICEF and World Health Organization, translated in very many local languages but none of the agreed rewards has been met to Bad Black by the government.

As a result, Bad black in collective effort with her lawyers, Musangala advocates and solicitors, addressed to the Attorney General of the republic of Uganda and Precision Media Limited have completed the letter referenced with an intention to sue dated 12th June, 2020.

On behalf of Bad Black, Musangala advocates demand that their client is paid Ugx. 500Million being the said consideration of the said advert.

They also want their client to receive Ugx. 50Million being the damages for the inconveniences and mental anguish she suffered.

A period of two weeks (fourteen days) has been stipulated from the date therein indicated for the government to comply where failure, the lawyers will proceed to file a civil suit against it.
