With just three episodes into the highly anticipated Kampala Creme reality TV show, viewers were shocked to learn that one of its stars, Baby Gloria, is set to depart.
Citing concerns over the authenticity of the show, Baby Gloria expressed her frustration with what she perceives as an overly scripted and fake showcase.
‘Kampala Creme’ was introduced onto the scene on January 14th, 2024, featuring the quartet comprising Etania, Baby Gloria, Zahara Totto, and Mami Deb. Promising a glimpse into the glitzy lives of its cast, the show quickly became a hit, catching Ugandans with its blend of extravagance and drama.
While the show boasted a lineup of renowned personalities, it was the strange relationship between Mami Deb and Baby Gloria that stole the spotlight for many viewers.
In a rant on her Snapchat, Baby Gloria revealed her discontent with the show’s authenticity.
Responding to a question about her friendships with fellow cast members, she expressed a starkly negative sentiment, denouncing the show as “fake” and lamenting the prevalence of scripted scenes.
According to Baby Gloria, she had been instructed to manufacture tears at certain points in the show, a directive she found unreal.
For the 22-year-old singer and brand influencer, the breaking point came when she was asked to fabricate aspects of her own life.
“I could fake tears but I couldn’t fake my story,” she asserted, signaling her decision to part ways with Kampala Creme.
However, Kampala Creme hasn’t come out to address this yet.
