Uganda Cranes midfielder Geoffrey Baba Kizito is set to go for trials with Spanish La Liga side, Getafe next week.
Kizito will be jetting off after the Uganda all-star charity match against the Barcelona Legends that is slated for Saturday 12, December 2015 at Mandela National stadium, Namboole.
Reports suggest that the 22-year old caught the eye of Rayco Garcia (owner of the Rayco Garcia Sports Foundation) during Uganda Cranes’ 3-0 victory over Togo in the 2018 FIFA Russia World Cup qualifier.
It should be remembered that the star came on as first half substitute for Gor Mahia’s Khalid Aucho who had sustained an injury.
The former SC Villa and Express FC player features for Vietnamese side Than Quảng Ninhrst, a club he joined after having stints with Kenyan Premier League side Gor Mahia where he helped the club win their first silverware in 18-years under former Cranes boss Bobby Williamson.
If all goes well for the youngster, he will become the first Ugandan player to feature in the Spanish La Liga.
