Multi-talented singer-songwriter Azawi has today released her brand-new single, “Njize Okwagala,” a deeply emotional record that continues to set the tone for her upcoming project, Azawi Lost Files. Known for her versatility and compelling storytelling, Azawi returns to the airwaves with a love ballad that fuses rich Afro-soul melodies with her signature vocal warmth.
“Njize Okwagala” which translates to “I’ve learned to love” captures the vulnerability of falling for someone and the fearless honesty of expressing it. The single is carried by minimal yet powerful instrumentation allowing Azawi’s vocals and lyricism to take centre stage as usual.
